The team at Smetec Services have experienced in-house CAD designers with backgrounds across multiple industries. This experience allows us to understand the specific requirements of each project and develop practical, manufacturable solutions.

Smetec can create 3D CAD designs and models from sketches, legacy drawings, hand-written manufacturing documents, or concepts developed during consultation.

We can also assist with the reverse engineering of existing or obsolete parts using specialist 3D scanning technology, where the physical component is captured and converted into a usable CAD model for manufacturing or further engineering development.

Our team works with a range of industry standard software including SolidWorks Professional, Design Edge and CorelDraw, allowing us to analyse, model, render and export designs in a variety of formats suitable for manufacturing.

In addition to design and modelling, Smetec utilises CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) technology for precision dimensional inspection and verification of manufactured components, ensuring parts meet required engineering specifications and tolerances.
